NOW

What do you love to do?
Make time for it.
Work will be there
Always constant
But 
Love is fleeting
So is a sunrise
The bloom of an iris
A walk in the park
A child's laughter
Time with a friend

What do you love to do?
Go do it, savor it
Now

I typically find this poem in January of each year. At one point I had it saved to my desktop as an image. I’m four weeks into my summer vacation and I found myself thinking about it and not quite remembering it. As I read the poem with four weeks under my belt for summer, I can safely say I’ve embraced the now. I’ve made time for travel, family, new experiences, reading, writing, needlepoint, cross stitch, exercise, and friends. I find summer an easier season to embrace the now and this summer I’m hoping to create systems and routines to continue embracing the now. Which I think ties in nicely with my One Little Word - still. I hope to explore still and now together this summer.
